Technical product designers accompany the product development process from the sketch to the finished product. During your practice-oriented training in the automotive industry, you will learn the basics of technical drawing and how to work with an up-to-date CAD system.

Your tasks

  • Design of individual parts, taking into account various manufacturing processes as well as functional, technical and economic aspects of product development
  • Deriving drawings from 3D designs for the production of prototypes and series products
  • Support with calculations for the design of components and assemblies (e.g. strength calculations, material selection)
  • Modification of drawings using company-specific software (e.g. Creo Elements) to adapt to new requirements
  • Implementation of quality assurance measures to ensure product quality
