The main plant on Albert-Pausch-Ring in Selb has been RAPA's control center since 1979. In recent years, the company has expanded its production area by 5000m2 and invested around 24 million euros in three new production halls. The expansion creates space for research, development, quality management, laboratory, production and logistics.

Plant location, production facility and sales

 

The foundation stone for the first RAPA plant outside Germany was laid on December 18, 2012 in Auburn, Alabama. In January 2014, the American plant began series deliveries for major US customers such as Chrysler and Tesla as well as for the leading major automotive suppliers Continental and ZF. A total of $18 million was invested in the development of the US site.

Purchasing and sales office

 

In 2020, RAPA expanded in the growth market of China and opened a purchasing and sales office in Shanghai. In 2022, we relocated our offices to the Anting district, around 30 km west of Shanghai's city center. Here we are right in the center of the Chinese automotive industry, surrounded by well-known automotive companies and suppliers such as Volkswagen, SAIC Motor, Schaeffler, ZF and Brose. This location enables our sales team to be even closer to the market and our customers.

Plant location, production facility and sales

 

Our future site in Jintan, China, marks a significant milestone for RAPA. As a production plant, it is expected to start operations in 2024. The first construction phase of the project covers an area of 14,000 square meters. At its heart is an impressive production hall with an area of 8,000 square meters and a height of 16 meters. This hall will be used to manufacture precision automotive valve components and highly complex chassis systems.
