Dual study program with training as a mechatronics engineer (m/f/d)
The dual study program (combined study program) gives you the opportunity to obtain two qualifications at the same time - training as a mechatronics technician and a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, automotive mechatronics, automotive industrial engineering, electrical engineering or computer science.
You will spend the first 13 months in the training company and at vocational school. You will then begin the three-and-a-half-year course at the university, where you will acquire in-depth knowledge in engineering application areas between mechanics, electronics and computer science. During the semester breaks and the practical semester, you will work at RAPA in Selb, where you can deepen your theoretical knowledge from the university in practice. In the 5th semester, you will take the IHK final examination. Once you have passed the exam, your training as a mechatronics technician is complete. You will then continue your studies at the university.
Your tasks
A mechatronics technician is a mechanic, electronics technician and computer scientist all rolled into one. This shows how diverse this profession is. During your apprenticeship, you will assemble mechanical, electrical and electronic components into a complex system and program the control software. And if something breaks? No problem - regular maintenance and servicing is also your responsibility.
